Software development is being rewritten in real time. AI can now generate, review and test code, but speed introduces new questions about quality, security and the engineer’s role. Leaders from frontier AI, global technology and developer infrastructure explore what engineering teams will look like next—and which skills will become more valuable, not less.
Madiou Diallo is an Engineer at Mistral AI, working at the intersection of product engineering and infrastructure for AI platforms building the systems that let developers develop, deploy and manage applications built against Mistral's AI models in production. Shaped by experience across fintechs and banking, having previously worked at Monzo and Wise, he brings a background in building reliable, secure infrastructure at scale to the fast-moving world of AI platforms. Outside of engineering, interests span powerlifting, travel, and photography.
Jasmine James is a Engineering Lead at Block, where she leads developer experience teams spanning hardware test infrastructure, developer tooling, and documentation engineering. Her day to day mixes coaching engineers with hands-on building, with a focus on bringing AI into everyday engineering work in ways teams can actually trust. She previously led Engineering Effectiveness at Twitter and co-chaired KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America and Europe.

Abigail Afi Gbadago is Vice President of the Django Software Foundation Board and a Fellow of the Python Software Foundation, shaping the revolution of technologies used by millions of developers worldwide. As Senior Developer Advocate for Django at MongoDB, she drives global ecosystem adoption and community-led growth. With over seven years of experience spanning backend engineering, open-source governance, and strategic partnerships, Abigail operates at the intersection of technical systems and business strategy. She served as Program Chair for DjangoCon US 2025, is an ex-Microsoft MVP for Python and Web Technologies, and is an alumni of the Stanford LEAD Executive Program from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
