AI transformation is not simply a technology deployment. It requires new leadership habits, operating models and ways of bringing people with you. In this conversation, Pam Maynard OBE shares lessons from leading large-scale change, including how organisations move from ambition to adoption while maintaining trust, accountability and measurable business value.
Pamela Maynard OBE is Corporate Vice President, AI Transformation at Microsoft. She leads a global team within Microsoft Frontier Company focused on helping organizations accelerate AI transformation through people, process excellence, and technology. Drawing on Microsoft's experience as Customer Zero and decades of leadership experience, Pam works with customers worldwide to help them evolve into Frontier Firms – organizations that put AI at the center of strategy, operations, and value creation. Previously, Pam served as Microsoft's first Chief AI Transformation Officer and, before joining Microsoft, as Chief Executive Officer of Avanade, where she led more than 60,000 employees globally. She has extensive experience helping organizations rethink operations, empower employees, and enhance customer experience through technology. Pam serves on the boards of the Royal Horticultural Society and Junior Achievement Worldwide. She has been recognized among the Powerlist Top 10, British Vogue’s 25 Most Influential Women in the UK, and as Black British Business Person of the Year.
Savannah Adams is a programme and editorial leader who has shaped C-suite content across energy, financial services and pharmaceuticals, with roles at S&P Global (Senior Manager), Financial Times (Senior Content Editor), Informa and more. She also sits on the Industry Advisory Board at King's College London.
Beyond her role, Savannah builds rooms where Black professionals are seen, connected and championed. As Co-Chair of CBERG, she brings together the Black employee networks of 60 financial services firms, and helped deliver its second annual Black History Month Opening Gala at Guildhall, in partnership with the City of London Corporation, for more than 300 professionals and senior leaders. She is also the inaugural Convenor of Black in the Square Mile, a City of London Corporation City Belonging Network, previously led BOLD, S&P Global's Black employee network, across EMEA, and co-chaired FT Embrace.
Named in the EMpower Top 100 Future Leaders 2026, she is a frequent speaker and moderator, including at Black Tech Fest and the UK Black Business Show.
