The term ""vibe coding,"" coined by Andrej Karpathy in early 2025, has taken the developer community by storm. It describes a new way of working with AI where you provide high-level, natural language prompts and the AI generates the code, a process that relies more on intuition and iterative refinement than on traditional, line-by-line programming. But is this a true paradigm shift, or is it just a catchy name for what we've been doing with AI-assisted tools for years?
